We held our 14th annual Partner Conference in New Jersey this year, and Todd gives the rundown.

Tom and I just returned from a week in Amsterdam. Fill in your Red Light district joke of choice, as we've heard them all, but we were there for a few days of face-to-face meetings with our Dutch partners in Werck. Amsterdam may be my favorite city in the world. With each visit I appreciate the simplicity, hospitality and beauty even more. There's something elegantly utilitarian in commuting each day to work on your no-frills black bike.

While the economy continues to be front page news and on everyone's mind because it's front page news, I thought I'd offer up what might be a sliver of a ray of sunshine.

One of the unpublicized tidbits that was part of Acclivity’s acquisition of MYOB US, Inc was our contractual obligation to cease using the MYOB brand within two years of the deal. “Huh?”, you say? Let me explain.

After the gloom of Scott's last post on the economy, we figured we should write about something fun and happy. Read a short review and see some pictures of two Acclivity employees who played Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ last weekend.

Welcome

Full disclosure: I've never read another company's blog. That's not to say there aren't gems of wisdom routinely available through such mediums, it's just not something I seek out. So when our progressively forward-thinking Marketing Team would periodically bug Tom and I about launching a company blog, we always felt there were bigger tasks at-hand. Like figuring out what shirts to wear in the Macworld booth (more on that in a later post).

So, why the change?
